On the Job Experience (OJE) for credit
All students enrolled at Long View High School have the opportunity to earn elective credit for their employment outside of school by being enrolled in OJE (On the Job Experience).  If the student chooses to earn credit through their outside work they will need to fulfill the Work for Credit Requirements.  See this link for more information:

Our internship program is a great opportunity for students to earn extra credit during the school year. Students will commit to 50-100 hours with the schedule to be agreed upon between the business and the student. This internship enables our students to learn new skills, build on their communication, responsibility and people skills and learn about different businesses and industries.
Jeanne Stongle is the coordinator and she can be reached at jstongle@jeffcok12.co.us

Upon completion of high school, apprenticeships are a great way to enter a number of well-paying occupations in the manufacturing, construction, health care and transportation industries, among others. An apprentice gains hands-on work experience in an occupation, while also taking classroom instruction.
