Mission: To provide a small, safe, and nurturing school for students who do not find success in large high schools, in order to educate and empower them to become caring, contributing citizens and life-long learners who think deeply and critically about issues affecting their lives, communities, the nation, and the world.
Learn to Love to Learn
Long View High School is a small alternative Jefferson County Public School, the smallest comprehensive public school in the metro area.
This is the 24th year of operation, with four teachers and support staff serving approximately 60 students in grades 10-12.
The primary alternative that Long View offers is the small size which allows staff to get to know the students, their needs and their learning styles.
Our small size and separate campus help to promote a strong sense of safety, belonging, and community.
Our many guest speakers, hands-on activities, and weekly field experiences engage students in their learning and growth.
